Compliance

Environmental contracting requires strict regulatory oversight and documented accountability. HM Environmental Services, Inc. maintains full compliance with federal, state, and local requirements governing hazardous materials, industrial waste, excavation, and transportation activities throughout Michigan and the Midwest.

Our compliance framework ensures that every project is performed responsibly, legally, and in alignment with industry standards. We work closely with regulators, consultants, engineers, and facility managers to maintain transparency and documentation at every stage.

ISNetworld Contractor Compliance

HM Environmental participates in ISNetworld, a recognized contractor management and safety verification system used by many industrial clients to prequalify vendors.

Through ISNetworld, our safety programs, insurance coverage, and training documentation are reviewed and verified to meet client standards. This provides an additional layer of assurance for facilities that require third-party vetting before awarding work.

Operating Engineers Local 324

We are capable of performing union work through Operating Engineers Local 324. This allows us to support projects that require union labor while maintaining the same level of experience, oversight, and safety standards that define our operations.

APHIS / CBP Regulated Garbage Compliance Agreement

HM Environmental holds compliance agreements with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to transport regulated garbage confiscated from airports, shipping ports, and U.S.–Canadian border crossings for proper destruction.

These agreements require strict handling, containment, and transportation procedures under federal oversight.

CN Railroad Safety Requirements

We comply with CN Railroad safety requirements along with E-Rail Safe training when performing work within rail-regulated environments. Our personnel are trained to operate under the specific rules and procedures necessary to work safely in these settings.

MUST Safety Program

HM Environmental participates in the MUST (Management and Unions Serving Together) Safety Program. This program promotes safety awareness, training, and accountability across union construction and industrial environments.

Participation reinforces our commitment to ongoing safety education and compliance with recognized industry standards.
