HM Environmental Services, Inc. provides installation, operation, and maintenance of in-situ remediation systems designed to address subsurface contamination safely and effectively. Our team supports industrial facilities, municipalities, consultants, and property owners managing petroleum-impacted sites and other regulated environmental conditions.
With decades of field experience, we understand the technical, regulatory, and operational requirements involved in implementing remediation systems within active facilities and controlled sites.

Soil Vapor Extraction systems are designed to remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and contaminated vapors from the subsurface. HM Environmental has installed and operated complete SVE systems in active industrial and commercial environments and municipal sites.
SVE System services include:
We have constructed treatment buildings off-site, fully assembled with process equipment prior to delivery, minimizing disruption during installation.

In addition to SVE systems, we install and maintain:
Groundwater extraction systems
|
Dual Phase Extraction systems
These systems are designed to recover impacted groundwater and free product while controlling vapor migration. We manage trenching, piping installation, control room design, and system startup with careful documentation and regulatory coordination.
For pilot testing and smaller remediation efforts, HM Environmental provides trailer-mounted systems that can be deployed and rented on a monthly basis. These systems include blowers, knockout tanks, and vapor phase carbon units and are designed for flexible site application. Our experience includes municipal sites eligible for reimbursement programs such as the Michigan Refined Petroleum Fund, where timely system deployment and documentation are critical.

Remediation projects often involve consultants, engineers, regulators, and, in some cases, reimbursement or litigation oversight. We coordinate closely with all parties to ensure:
All personnel assigned to remediation projects are OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER trained with annual refresher courses. Confined space and excavation safety procedures are implemented where required. Wastes generated during extraction are properly manifested and transported to approved disposal facilities, eliminating the need for uncontrolled on-site storage.
