Managing Unknown Contaminants
Test pits may encounter petroleum products, industrial waste, PCBs, dry cleaning chemicals, or other regulated materials. Safety procedures are our primary concern when entering these environments and managing associated wastes generated during the test pitting process.

Excavation is performed methodically to minimize disturbance and maintain control of exposed soils. If contamination is identified, we coordinate closely with consultants and regulators to determine next steps and appropriate handling procedures.
Regulatory Awareness & Documentation
Test pit activities often support environmental site assessments, remediation planning, or regulatory reporting. We work in coordination with environmental consultants to ensure:

- Controlled stockpiling and sampling
- Documentation of findings
- Safe backfilling and site restoration
